Elijah Hylton is a young and promising rugby league player from Leeds, currently developing through the Wakefield Trinity Academy system, having progressed from the club’s Scholarship programme in 2024 . Before joining Trinity, Hylton grew up in the North East and played his junior rugby for Gateshead Storm, representing the club across multiple youth age groups . His talent was recognised locally, earning him a Sport Newcastle Bronze Award in 2024 for his achievements in rugby league. At just 18 years old, Hylton has already experienced international rugby league, taking part in his first Jamaica camp in France at age 17 for a World Cup qualifying fixture. As the youngest member of the squad, he embraced the opportunity to learn, grow, and represent his heritage. Off the field, Elijah enjoys spending time with his family, eating good food, and watching films, balancing his rapid rise in rugby league with a grounded, family-focused lifestyle.
