James Woodburn-Hall

BIO:

James Woodburn-Hall is a Jamaica international rugby league playmaker born on from Isleworth, London. He made his Super League debut for the London Broncos in 2013, featuring across the 2013-14 seasons before moving north to study at the University of Leeds . After spells with London Skolars and Hemel Stags, he signed with Halifax Panthers in 2016, beginning a near decade-long career at the club.

Across 10 seasons at Halifax, Woodburn-Hall made more than 180 appearances, scoring over 80 tries, and became one of the club's most influential and versatile backs, playing at centre, stand-off, scrum-half, and full back . He was part of the Halifax side that lifted the 1895 Cup at Wembley in 2023 and is remembered for his match-winning try in the 2019 Challenge Cup quarter-final.

Internationally, Woodburn-Hall debuted for Jamaica in 2018 and represented the Reggae Warriors at the 2021 Rugby League World Cup, playing in all three matches. In 2025, he moved to France to join SO Avignon in the Elite One Championship, continuing his career in the Super XIII .
